What areas do you serve?
I'm based in Austin, Texas and work primarily in West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Tarrytown, Pemberton Heights, Barton Creek, Zilker and Barton Hills, Circle C, Bee Cave and Lakeway, along with Clarksville, Travis Heights, Sunset Valley and Allandale. For projects outside the Austin metro, reach out and we'll discuss.
Do you do both organizing and design on the same project?
Often, yes. Many projects start as one and become both — a closet reorganization reveals a design problem, or a design engagement surfaces an organizing issue that has to be resolved first. I treat them as one continuous process, not two separate services. You hire one person for the whole picture.
How do projects get scoped and priced?
Organizing begins around $1,080 for a full day, with a one-day minimum — the walkthrough and the plan, the day in your space, and the systems left in place afterward. Design projects begin around $5,000 and are quoted individually following an initial consult — because the right scope depends on what I actually see when I walk in. I don't quote from a menu. I quote after I understand the room.
What does a first consult look like?
A walkthrough of the space, a direct conversation about what isn't working and why, and a clear picture of what the project looks like — scope, timeline, and cost. No charge, and no obligation to proceed. Most clients leave the consult knowing exactly what they need and whether I'm the right person to do it.
How long does a project take?
For organizing, most single rooms can be completed in one to two days. Design engagements vary by scope — a single-room project can take a few weeks from consult to install; a whole-home project may run several months. I'll give you a realistic timeline during the consult, not an optimistic one.
Do I need to be home during the project?
For organizing projects, yes — at least for the initial walkthrough and the edit phase. Your input on what stays and what goes is essential. I don't make those calls without you. For design projects, your level of involvement depends on the scope. We'll discuss it during the consult.
What if I only need help with one small thing?
Decision Consulting exists for exactly that. If you're stuck on one choice — a piece of furniture, a paint color, a layout decision — a session gives you a clear answer and the reasoning behind it. It's also how some clients start before realizing there's a larger project underneath.
I'm not sure if I need organizing or design. How do I know?
Book a consult. That's genuinely the answer. I'll walk through the space, tell you what I see, and tell you which approach solves the actual problem. Sometimes what looks like a design issue is an organizing issue, and vice versa. You don't need to know before we talk.
